GREENVILLE, NC, July 31, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Carlos Romero with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Romero celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With nearly 50 years of industry experience to his credit, Mr. Romero has worked as the founder of !kohaus Avant Garde Art!sts since 1999. Following this appointment, he held the position of founder of the CPirateNetwork in 2007, incorporating it in the state of North Carolina in 2015. Previously, he has served as an open gallery artist at the Museum of Computer Art in 2006 and a master artist for the World Art Foundations from 2007 to 2009. Mr. Romero began his career as a project manager for SkyView Digital Satellite TV from 1996 to 1999 and CellularVision from 1994 to 1996.

Recently, Mr. Romero received "Lean Launch" support from an I-Corps grant from the National Science Foundation administered by East Carolina University and Greenville SEED @ ECU in support of Ikohaus Alpha. Working in the Idea 2 Impact incubator program for the National Science Foundation and East Carolina University, he graduated from the Phase Two Session group, creating CPN Livestream Network which has grown into an elite verified platform on Facebook that hosts content creators around the world. Having excelled in experimental cellular television programs for AT&T and in livestreaming for Blab, as well as a master systems operator with DirecTV, Mr. Romero commercialized the prototype of the IkoVux digital artwork display system, which he continues to develop at the Greenville Office of Engagement Innovation and Economic Development.

Part of continuing the development of the IkoVuX system Mr. Romero is working in talks and beta tests with CodexProtocol on placing his digital artwork on the blockchain to maintain authenticity and provenance, while also working with a stealth company Dust Identity using a system of fine 64 face, faceted diamonds to uniquely mark his physical works for authenticity and provenance and then placed on the blockchain with CodexProtocol.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Romero pursued an education at Pratt Institute, completing coursework in fine arts, film and video from 1970 to 1973, as well as from 1980 to 1982. He continued his studies at the National Radio Institute, obtaining a certificate in telecommunications in 1993. Following these accomplishments, Mr. Romero completed coursework in business at Pitt Community College from 2006 from 2009.

Having found an interest in artistic endeavors at an early age in New York City, Mr. Romero was inspired to commercialize the IkoVuX digital display system by East Carolina University's Marti Van Scott, the Small Business and Technology Development Center's Scott Barker, and Greenville Seed @ East Carolina University's John Ciannamea. Notably, he participated in a peaceful protest at Brooklyn Technical High School in 1970 by hanging posters of Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and Marcus Garvey, which warranted suspension and was later reported in the New York Daily News. Earlier this year, Mr. Romero's professional efforts were showcased by Hype Magazine, highlighting his work in the Idea 2 Impact program.

In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Romero has accrued several accolades throughout his impressive career. He was presented with an Advancement of Design and Art Award from the Fair Award Master Association. Furthermore, he was selected for inclusion in the 66th edition of Who's Who in America.
